The Law Enforcement’s Guide to Policing Crypto Cybercrimes

2019 demonstrated that cyber-attacks are getting more numerous in the cryptocurrency industry, while hardware remains vulnerable and high-profile data leaks are becoming more common. Even worse, the trend is a continuing one.  Way back in June 2018, Kaspersky Lab security experts reported an increase in the amount of malware targeting the cryptocurrency market. They noted a trend toward the spread of two types of malware: for hacking cryptocurrency wallets and for malicious Bitcoin (BTC) mining. As cybercrimes using digital money have begun to affect more countries and involve more advanced…

Samsung Electronics’ newly launched Galaxy smartphone will come with the same crypto storage facilities found on previous models. Unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S20 range recently, the Korean tech giant said the phone’s security system includes a new “secure processor dedicated to protecting your PIN, password, pattern and Blockchain Private Key.” Although Samsung gave much more website real estate to the S20’s improved battery-life and picture-capturing capabilities, the reference to private keys suggests Samsung’s new model will continue to have the same cryptocurrency storage facilities found in previous models. How Cryptocurrency Trading Has Evolved in Recent Years

In the early days of blockchain, cryptocurrency trading was seen by many as merely exchanging a few dollars for Bitcoins (BTC). The birth of other tokens and the high volatility in cryptocurrencies have led many traders to speculate by buying a few coins through exchanges in hoping the value will increase for the sake of profit.  The decision to switch to floating exchange rates was made in the second half of the last century, when it became clear to financial institutions that they could not provide the right amount of…

These Fan-Made Sonic the Hedgehog Levels Put Sonic Team to Shame

Several ‘Dreams’ developers have released excellent Sonic the Hedgehog levels. These levels showcase skills that Sonic Team appears to lack. We may have to look to Dreams for a reliable Sonic fix. The Sonic the Hedgehog movie isn’t terrible. At least, not compared to other video game movies. Unfortunately, you can’t say the same about the character’s latest video games. Developer Sonic Team’s inability to build a solid game around the blue blur is a running joke among fans. Many have argued that they could do a better job. Fan…

Stellar’s Jed McCaleb Says His XRP Sell-Off Won’t Disrupt Crypto Market

A recent Medium post from blockchain monitor Whale Alert showed that Stellar CTO Jed McCaleb sold off more than 1 billion XRP between 2014 and 2019. The post attempted to analyze whether or not McCaleb’s sale of XRP will affect the price of the crypto. Whale Alert noted that compared with other total trade volumes per day, the amount McCaleb is selling seems insignificant. Following up on this, McCaleb told Cointelegraph in an interview that it’s strange that so many people are focused on his recent trading of XRP, noting…

Taylor Swift Is The Man – And She’s the One Selling Toxic Masculinity

Taylor Swift published a live performance of “The Man” in Paris while fans sang along with gusto. E! News said the live music video “will empower you to conquer all.” But the message behind “The Man” is hardly subversive. In fact, it’s exactly how The Man has been keeping women down. Taylor Swift’s fans are pumped for the eventual release of her official music video for “The Man.” Some sources say that will be on International Women’s Day – March 8. That’s ironic, because Swift’s song isn’t about celebrating women…
