It's a bubble and the reason is simple: no barriers to entry. 1000's of new crypto currencies are coming out and each one devalues Bitcoin or can and will tarnish the concept. If that doesn't destroy bitcoin then you can be certain gov't will eventually.

To be clear, we delayed launching a hedge fund with outside investors capital last week because we didn’t like market conditions for new investors. In no way does it mean we are less bullish the crypto markets.
He said it would consolidate between 12 to 16k or so and worse case touch 8k. He did not say it will plunge to 8k. It's incredible how you spin the news, such professionals! TA showing bitcoin looks weak short term here, if the prior bottom is re-tested and holds then bullish movement to ATH's will continue. however if we overshoot lower to much, apparently this could go into a bear market, hopefully this does not happen as I believe crypto really is needed in this world.

Novogratz did the right thing by halting the hedge fund. He would have received many phone calls from investors when the price goes up and down 30% in a day.
This guy sounds like a fraudster. He ramps up the price saying he’s got “commitments” for a hedge fund then sells out then says it’s a bubble it’s going down to 8k perhaps to buy again.
