Professors will generally miss-teach crypto. Bitcoin is the only crypto that does anything unique, every problem bitcoin can't solve is solved with centralization and thus cryptocurrency and proof of work is not necessary to solve them there are 1500 alt coins that are worth absolutely nothing against a mature bitcoin marketplace. We are just drowning in idiots as a sector atm..
Probably not a good time to go to college to propel your crypto career… Sounds like the long expensive path to what I and hundreds of thousands of others discovered for free.
The last line was laughable. They learn blockchain to make the world better, not to make money? What on earth are you talking about. The fact that colleges have courses now on this crap is to make money. It's a piece of technology no doubt , a not mind blowing one. Unless you count the speed of this frenzy ponzi bubble forming around Bitcoin and all the alt coins crap, now that's mind blowing.
In the next 6-8 years we won't even be thinking about cryptocurrencies since they'll become a part of daily life for everyone by that time.
